These Terms and Conditions govern your access and use of Orato Institute, operated by Afrolingua Ltd. By using this site, booking a class, or applying as a tutor, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Overview
Orato Institute is an online platform offering live language classes, cultural workshops, and conversation clubs.
2. Account Use
- Users must provide accurate, current information.
- Children must have a parent or guardian create their account.
- Accounts are non-transferable.
3. Bookings & Payment
- Payments must be made via the platform using approved payment methods.
- Group class fees are non-refundable after the first session.
- 1:1 sessions can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
- Tutors are paid post-session. Orato Institute retains a platform service fee.
4. Tutor Responsibilities
- Deliver classes professionally and punctually
- Maintain student confidentiality
- Use Orato Institute’s curriculum and report learner progress when required
5. Learner Responsibilities
- Be respectful to tutors and peers
- Refrain from recording sessions unless agreed
- Use the platform in accordance with all rules
6. Content Ownership
- Orato Institute retains ownership of platform materials and branding
- Tutors retain ownership of original content but grant Orato Institute rights to use for educational purposes
7. Disclaimers
- We are not liable for platform outages or third-party software failures
- Orato Institute provides educational support, not guaranteed outcomes
8. Termination
Accounts may be suspended or terminated if there is a breach of these terms.
9. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
